Welcome to Sending Stone Studio
If you've ever run a tabletop game, you already know the problems Dungeon Masters and World Builders face.
Notes scattered across apps. Half finished ideas living in your head. Tools that promise to help but end up slowing you down.
Sending Stone Studio exists to fix that.
We're a small studio building thoughtful tools for tabletop roleplaying games. Tools that respect how people actually prep, play, and create. Tools that stay out of the way when they should, and show up exactly when you need them.
This studio was born from real play experience, not boardroom theory. Every product we build starts with the same filter:
If it doesn't make life easier for creators, it doesn't belong here.
Why "Sending Stone"?
In fantasy worlds, a sending stone is simple, reliable magic. It connects people instantly, across any distance, without complication.
That idea is core to everything we're building.
Sending Stone Studio is about connection. Connecting ideas to usable systems. Connecting creativity to tools that don't fight it. Connecting creators to workflows that actually make sense.
No unnecessary complexity. No bloated feature lists. Just solid design and practical uses.
What We're Building
Sending Stone Studio isn't a single product, it's a growing lineup of tools designed specifically for creators.
That includes Dungeon Masters, worldbuilders, writers, and anyone who spends time crafting settings, stories, characters, or systems behind the scenes.
Our first tool is already in development: Living Atlas, a campaign and worldbuilding platform built for the way GMs actually work. Visual connections between your ideas. Session prep that doesn't require rebuilding your workflow. Worldbuilding tools that scale from a single tavern to an entire cosmology.
More tools are coming. Some will focus on play and community. Others will lean into planning, organization, or creative experimentation. Each one is built to stand on its own, but all of them share the same foundation: clean design, fast use, and zero friction.
If you've ever thought "there has to be a better way to do this," that's the space we're exploring.
Built With Intent
Sending Stone Studio isn't trying to replace imagination. It's trying to support it.
These tools are meant to feel invisible once you're using them. They should fit naturally into your process, whether you're prepping a session, building a world, or experimenting with new ideas.
Here's our standard: if it doesn't make your life easier, it's a failure.
No learning curves that require a weekend. No features that sound cool but add clutter. No "power user" modes that lock out everyone else.
Everything here is built with longterm use in mind. Sustainable tools, not shortlived gimmicks. Built by DMs who run weekly games, not people who just read about them.
Join the Journey
This studio is just getting started, but the direction is clear.
Over the coming months, you'll see new tools launch, updates roll out, and ideas take shape. This blog and our newsletter is where those things will be introduced, explored, and refined.
If you create for tabletop games and you're tired of tools that slow you down instead of speeding you up, you're exactly who we're building for.
